We need not always wait for a perfect answer before developing useful. The scientific method is careful, but slow. Likewise, data science is very fast, but it can get sloppy.
Our first effort in this spirit is called Project Dead Ringer. It is taking on tinnitus: a very widespread problem that has not been very well defined. It is a sound that exists for many people where silence should be, and has been written off thus far as simply annoying. This is not a mature answer, and we find it very lacking in empathy. Our team is here to listen to what no one else can hear, because it matters to you, and that will always matter to us.
This challenge is something we hope to address as soon as possible, but we need collaboration. Pitch in what you can whether it be time, money, or inspiration.
If YOU would like to be a part of it, talk to me. Join the Discord or shoot me your contact info and who you are/what you're about. Let's do a company right and set a good example. Pay people with both appropriate salaries and ownership of a company they're passionate about. We can remove greed from the corporate structure and make an invention machine happen. Come be a part of it.
This should get you started on the heavy stuff.
We are hoping to develop our own methods similar to ACR, but based on a different neuroscience-informed approach
The pre-appointment form to sign up for our case study database can be found here:
Please only contribute information that you are comfortable sharing with the general public. We are planning to make our database and methodology completely open source
We are currently hoping to raise enough money to start an organization with both salaried and freelance employees to do the work. Slap-dash GoFundMe page can be found here (currently very much a work in progress)
